Martha Jeanne has been a CAPPA Certified Labor Doula “since 2005” and trained in Motherhood “since 1977”.

Martha has given birth to seven children, all within eight years. In each experience her greatest joy was in giving of herself to her children. Martha’s training, and her own challenges with natural childbirth have given her much hands-on practice in creative techniques and disciplines with focus on making the labor and deliveries as comfortable as possible.

As someone who understands what it takes to be a mother, she thinks it quite appropriate that "Doula" means "Servant". Being a Servant is Martha's sole focus from the first day she meets the new Mom-to-be, and considers it an honor to thoroughly care for, and provide for, this new mom and her partner!

Martha will serve you according to your desires and your preferences. She values your own personal wishes for your birth and delights in helping you carry out your particular birthing plan.

Martha has served in non-medicated births, medicated births, induced labors, epidural births, cesarean births, births that were relatively quick and births that lasted through the night. She has served teen mothers and those with and without partners.

She has felt so honored to assist with not only these labors and deliveries, but also in the blessings and challenges of postpartum support!

In 1996 Martha was crowned Ms. Kentucky USA Petite Woman! This is just one of the experiences that has made her determined to help empower other woman to “win their own crown” in whatever quest or dream they have for themselves.
